my name is Erica Moran. i am a woodworker, designer, and teacher. I make one-of-a-kind, squiggly, whimsical wooden homewares. My passion is woodturning, which I do using reclaimed scrap and local wood. I work out of my father’s woodshop in Ridgefield, CT, where he conducted his own custom furniture business for over 30 years, which is also on the property where I grew up. I love the opportunity to rescue scraps from his business, shopping lumber from projects of another century, and even working with the wood from fallen trees around his home.
due to the beautiful, unpredictable nature of wood and the way I prefer to work, no two pieces are ever the same, but I am always happy to recreate similar shapes and designs upon request.
